Our Farm.
On the Outlier farm we raise sheep, goats and alpacas for their wool and chickens for eggs. We love our animals and invite our guests to participate in farming activities and to learn about animal husbandry while they are here! No animals are harmed on our farm. We also grow vegetables for our guests and invite them to participate in the Outlier Inn CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) by ordering a veggie basket and by shopping in our 24 hour self-service Barn Shop.
Our Barn Shop.
The shop is located in our quaint barn and is accessible 24 hours/day to our guests on a self-serve, honor system basis. There is local produce downstairs and a boutique upstairs, stocked with locally sourced products. Write your name in the shop book, list the items that you’ve taken and settle up as you go! The shop is also a beautiful space to hang out in and write, play chess or guitar, and meet other property guests.
Our Fiber.
Our sheep, goats and alpacas are shorn and, in collaboration with Fiber-on-Main in Hurleyville NY, their wool is pooled with other local micro-fiber farms to create a local blend yarn. We sell skeins of yarn along with a selection of finished winter accessories in our Barn Shop.
Our CSA.
We love and take pride in our organic vegetable garden and hope that you will too! We sell veggie baskets to our guests CSA-style: you get a healthy basket of whatever veggies we have in season and you can even help us pick them if you’d like! We will send you a list of what we have before you arrive so that you can plan your meals accordingly.
